Following The Compass

We tend to plan things ahead and look into the reaches of the possibilities that lay ahead of us. But how we get there is another question of its own. Sometimes we choose to follow decisions which are based on practicality, because it tells us the logical path to where we want to be. Maybe it’s the decision to choose that subject in high school or to take that stable job because it’s the safe step towards your dream one. But i challenge you to do something, something that i am starting to do myself;

Leave your map behind and follow your compass.

A map is great if you want to go where people have been before. A compass, even though uncertain and unpredictable, will cause you to pave new paths, and lead you to unexpected and amazing places. Ultimately, you will find yourself in the mistakes you make and the shortcuts you design. So leave your map behind and let your compass lead the way.

Jason Li (born 17th October 1992) grew up in the big bad city of Sydney. After all these years, he’s still growing up; or at least trying to. Sometimes he writes. Sometimes he gets lucky and writes something good. Most of the time, however, he has no idea where life is taking him, living life just one single day at a time.
