What a rollercoaster of emotions.
It’s been awhile since I’ve watched The Pursuit of Happyness. The movie is so much of what is real in this world, that life is not always the sunshine and flowers that you see.
The large majority of the movie describes this struggle with heartbreaking scenes to find a place in the world, to find hope and faith even where there is seemingly none to be found.
As if we were the child himself learning from his father, the scene below has resonated with me for years, never failing to inspire me to take action now towards a future that I want to see, towards the dream that I’ve always envisioned.
The concept of happiness as a pursuit, as a journey worth every moment is an incredibly powerful idea reminding us that there is value within every struggle, that there is hope at the end of all the suffering in this world.
